Abstract
One case of papillary cystic tumor of the ancreas was reported in young woman aged in 30. She was visited at OPD because of palpable neck mass. but, during the physical examination, large abdominal mass was palpated and reexamining this palpable
mass
was started. Sonography and Abdominal CT revealed a well demarked cystic and solid mass. This tumor was treated y partial pancreatectomy, measuring diameter was 17¡¿11¡¿8cm, Gross pathologic examination revealed apparent encapsulation, cystic
degeneration, and hemorrhagic necrosis. Microscopically, the tumor is cellular with hemorrhage and the tumor was composed of papillae, solid growth and cystic pattern of proliferating epithelial cell. this epthelial cells are rather uniform and
have
small ovoid nuclei with indistinct nucleoli and vacuolate or pale eosinophilic cytoplasm.
Unlike most pancreatic tumor, these are either or of relative low grade malignant potential and thus are amenalble to surgical resection and cure. It is important to distinguish this rare tumor from other pancreatic tumor with similar
cytohistologic
future. Since, if correct diagnosis and surgical managed, this tumor was curable.
